We are Hunters Like it or Not

I was raised around Hunting, Fishing and the Outdoors.  With that said it has been what my life has basically revolved around since I can remember.  With our growing presence in the Great World of social media (hint of sarcasm) I am learning that there is a lot of straight up hate directed at the Hunting community.  I have always known that there is an ever-growing population that simply didn't grow up that way and they just don't have a knowledge of the lifestyle.

But what I see now seems more dangerous, society is becoming so disconnected with nature that they seem to think that just because they don't hunt or even eat meat that somehow, they have no effect on the planet or animals.  This is simply not true, everything in this world somehow ties back to nature and having some sort of effect.  From the explosion of growth into the rural landscape to the ever-growing demand for natural resources.

This being said I obviously don't have the solution, but I have always wondered why the Anti Hunters are so against what most have no idea about. When the Hunting community for the most part would say if you don't want to Hunt that is fine and not feel like we needed to threaten them to get them to go our way.

When we started this business, I worried about promoting my business along with my hunting.  As we have defiantly ran into some roadblocks with advertising and even showing certain products that we sell on certain social media platforms.  That said we are not going to change who we are and what our business is to try to follow some guidelines set by companies that don't support our way of life.

I guess what I wanted to say is that I am a Hunter, always have been, always will be.  I am tired of having to act like it is something that I should not be proud of.   If you are a legal Hunter who does things by the book and is using what you harvest to support you and your family, we stand with you.

There’s so much more to enjoying hunting than just harvesting an animal. One who hunts usually has an appreciation for Nature & the outdoors. You’re right, many have no idea what it’s all about or why you enjoy it so much. Hunting & harvesting an animal that you will use to provide food for your family is a useful thing to be able to do. Sharing the love of the outdoors with your Family builds a special bond & you can’t take that away.
